Old Town Park City
Old Town is the area mostly located north of Kearns Blvd. and extends all the way to the Main Street area just short of Lower and Upper Deer Valley. This is the original Park Cit…which was settled by the miners who founded the town. It is made up of small, narrow lots, many of which are on steep hillsides. Very few undeveloped building lots are available now. This area also encompasses most of the area next to the Park City Mountain Resort. You can truly see and feel the old historic roots of Park City by simply strolling around and seeing some of the old miner’s homes that still remain to this day. Many homes in this area are historic and thus protected by certain historical preservation laws, so in some instances, renovation or demolition can be extremely expensive and difficult as well. As it is the oldest area in Park City, very little remains that hasn’t been developed, so the scarcity of buildable property keeps prices at a premium. Location is another factor driving value here, and there are few places in the world like Old Town Park, which offer the access to shopping, dining, nightlife, and skiing via the Town Lift, located at the base of main street, which will whisk you away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street and straight to the pristine slopes of Park City Mountain Resort. Although small, Old Town has many opportunities for ownership, including the developments of Town Pointe, Park Station, Hotel Park City, Silver King Hotel, Shadow Ridge, Treasure Mountain Inn, Snowcrest, The Lodges at Mountain Village, Powder Pointe, The Sky Lodge, Payday Condominiums, Claimjumper Condominiums, Victorian Village, The Edelweiss House, Empire House, Mine Camp, The Innsbruck, Struggler, The Lowell at Park City, as well as many others.
