The Midway and Charleston area is located just over the mountains on the backside of Deer Valley?s Empire Bowl. It is growing rapidly and is quite a bit more developed than areas like Oakley or Kamas. The town is working hard to retain its small town farm community feel while retaining its? Swiss heritage, which lends itself to the annual Swiss Days celebrations, which draw thousands of people to Midway for the Labor Day weekend. Surrounded by the Wasatch mountain range and nearly12,000 foot Mt. Timpanogos, it boasts a spectacular alpine setting which explains the continued legacy of the Europeans who founded the area.
Midway is also home to 90 holes of golf at 5 different courses. While not as posh as Park City, Midway offers a slower pace lifestyle, that allows equestrian pursuits as well as close proximity the hustle and bustle of Park City and Salt Lake. While homes in Midway command a higher premium over the rest of the Heber Valley, its? charming mountain setting makes it peaceful and quaint.
Charleston is a small community on the edge of the Deer Creek Reservoir with great views and easy access to Provo, Utah. Nestled between Midway and Provo Canyon, it offers large open parcels which are a horseman?s dream, and also offering access to the lake for all the water sports on could desire.
