Jordanelle Reservoir Area
The Jordanelle reservoir now sits on top of what were the two former mining towns of Keetley and Hailstone. It includes the areas all around the lake, some of which are in Summit County and some of which are in Wasatch County. The Mayflower area offers several different communities of Hailstone, Star Harbor, Fox Bay, and The Lodge at Stillwater, which offers itself as a full ownership condo/hotel. This area also is home to the Hailstone State Park at Jordanelle, for swimming, fishing, picnic areas, camping, and also has a marina for the avid boater. The Mayflower exit also leads directly to the Deer Crest gondola, offering easy access to skiing, hiking, and biking from this neighborhood. On the other side of Jordanelle is Hideout Canyon, which boasts a 9 hole golf course on the lake, Taliskers? gated Tuhaye community, which offers a private 18 hole golf course and some of the areas grandest homes, as well as the Deer Mountain subdivision. This area is growing rapidly with the new Shoreline Village subdivision breaking ground to take advantage of the lake views close proximity to the Deer Crest gondola.
