Kimball Junction

Kimball Junction is the entrance to the Park City corridor, via highway 224. All three of Park City’s ski and snowboard resorts (Deer Valley, The Canyons and Park City Mountain Resort) can be seen from here. Located on the Park City bus route, this area offers single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums and a thriving commercial/retail area.
The Redstone area is a village like development within the Kimball Junction area featuring shops, restaurants, cinema and nightlife. The adjacent Newpark Hotel and retail development will add more of the like to this in the near future. This area is also home to the Tanger Outlet Mall and the Newpark field house, an indoor recreational field allowing for soccer, lacrosse, football and other outdoor recreation to be practiced indoors during the winter months as well as having a full fitness center. The Swaner Nature Preserve, which surrounds the Newpark/Redstone areas on two sides, provides many trails and wildlife viewing in the area as well as providing beautiful open space.

This area is very accommodating for residents who want to stay within the Park City school district, but may work in the Salt Lake City area and want the convenience of being close to both.

Subdivision in this area include: Blackhawk Station, Spring Creek, Canyon Creek Club, Crestview Fox Point @ Redstone, Newpark Hotel, Newport Resort Residences, Powderwood, and Trout. While many of these developments are well suited to vacation home owners who wish to rent their units out while they are not using them, some like Canyon Creek do not allow nightly rentals. It’s also useful to know that some of these developments also have strict guidelines regarding pets, so buyers should be aware of them before considering certain areas.
