Theatre And Summer Concerts

A long time cultural beacon for Park City, the Egyptian Theatre brings musical and intellectual icons to our town in addition to being a main event host for the Sundance Film Festival.

Influenced by the discovery of King Tut's tomb, The Egyptian Theatre opened on Christmas Day, 1926. Supervised by an Egyptologist, the theatre design elements include lotus leaf motifs, scarabs, hieroglyphics and symbols of life and happiness. Today, the Mary G. Steiner Egyptian Theatre hosts a variety of theatre, comedy, musical acts, special events, community functions and more. The Egyptian Theatre continues to function as a landmark venue on Park City's Main Street while retaining the distinctive flavor of years gone by, much like Park City itself.

In an effort to support Park City's thriving performing arts culture and its cornerstone Main Street theatre, Berkshire Hathaway Utah Properties acts as a sponsor of events and operational overhead. As Legend Sponsors, we feel that operating a successful business in our town comes with the obligation to support its character and arts. Salt Lake City - America's Newest Tech Hub - According to Forbes Magazine: While Utah’s explosive growth in the tech industry isn’t really a surprise for long-time residents of the state, it appears the rest of the nation is also taking note.

Forbes recently named Salt Lake City the next "tech mecca" and compared Silicon Valley to Utah's Silicon Slopes as an ever-growing but less-frenzied version of the tech scene in the Bay Area.

A few decades ago, not many would have handpicked Utah to foster a budding tech scene, but the city’s stable workforce, top-ranking tech universities, low cost of living, attractive climate, low crime rate and family-friendly atmosphere have contributed to the industry’s rapid growth.

Utah’s business-friendly climate, fostered through the region’s cultural roots of self-sufficiency and industriousness, is another reason for the state’s vibrant growth, Julie Kehoe, VP of Communications at Domo, told Forbes.
