Farmers Markets

The Park City area is a great place to visit local farms, farm stands and markets. This week we wanted to share some great places to pickup up local eats. Read on for upcoming events like Summit County Fair, Swiss Days, the Sheepdog Championship and the Kimball Arts Festival.

The Park City Farmers Market is open Wednesdays, now through October 31 from 12-5pm at the Silver King Parking Lot. Stop by for fresh produce, baked bread and arts and crafts from local vendors. For more information click here.

The Park Silly Sunday Market is on Sundays, now through Sept 23 (except Aug 5, 12, & 19) on Historic Main Street from 10am-5pm. This is a eco-friendly open air market, street festival and community forum where neighbors and friends come together to celebrate our community of fun and funky Park Sillians. Looking for some fun activities, the Summit County Fair is August 4-11 at 202 E Park Road in Coalville. It's a traditional small town county fair with cowboys and bucking broncos, a carnival midway, beauty queens, home-canned goods, flowers, vegetables, and more. Events are held throughout Summit County and home base is in quiet, scenic Coalville.  For more information click here.

The Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championship is Labor Day Weekend in Soldier Hollow, Midway. The Soldier Hollow Classic features the world's best border collies in a competition that will fascinate and amaze you. This is the world's largest Sheepdog Championship and includes Splash Dogs, dog acrobats and much, much more! For more info click here.

The Midway Swiss Days is Labor Day Weekend. Swiss Days offers a wide variety of handmade items, antiques, fine art, and great Swiss food. Between 80,000 to 100,000 people descend on Midway during this weekend to relish Swiss Days, a tradition here since the 1940s. For more information click here.

And, the Kimball Arts Festival is August 3rd - 5th on Historic Main St. The 49th Annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival takes place on Historic Main Street and serves as the primary fundraiser for the Kimball Art Center. Each year this event hosts over 50,000 guests, 220+ jury-selected artists from over 30 states in 12 categories, 30 live musical acts, and an array of cuisine offerings.
