It is with great sadness that Judy and I share the news of the passing of our son-in-law Jay Corcoran. Our daughter, Maria, and Jay moved their adorable family of four from Heber City to Seattle, Washington on February 3rd. A week later on February 10th, after having their possessions delivered to their new home, Jay complained of a headache and ear ache, which at the time was thought to be a sinus infection. By Saturday he was in the ER, and within hours he was in the ICU fighting for his life after suffering multiple heart attacks. Doctors said he had Bacterial Meningitis which was further complicated by the heart attacks. Jay was on life support and went into a non-medically induced coma with too much extensive damage to his brain to recover. Jay Corcoran, only 40 years old, was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Our daughter is beyond devastated. Maria has found herself a widow, single mother to 8 year old Ana and 11 month old Jimmy and is now alone in a new city, with virtually little to no support. The hospital was an "out of network" hospital due to their recent move. With the loss of her husband the last thing Maria needs to worry about is medical bills. A gofundme account has been set up to help our daughter and her children in this time of need and any support is greatly appreciated.

Judy and I thank all of our friends and family for the thoughts and prayers as we help our daughter through this unimaginable time.
